Check your razors for any product build-up or dirt before using. Ensure that you are not overusing your razor blades and change the blades regularly to avoid chances of skin infections.
Splash your face and eyes with cold water. It is the quickest way to wake up tired eyes and to close pores on your skin. Splash the water for a minute or so and the pat dry.
Never be in a hurry while shaving and avoid using the razor in long strokes. You are prone to cuts and burns.
Ditch the habit of shaving twice in the same area. Apply minimal pressure while using the razor.
A cold splash of water is refreshing after your shave and closes your pores. Apply an aftershave balm for a moisturising effect.
An aloe vera or vitamin E based cream is soothing on the skin than methanol based shaving creams. Always look for a mild shaving cream to reduce chances of burns and rashes.
