Bob: Bobs are not only for those with straight strands. Ask for face-framing long layers in the front and short layers in the back. In fact, if your face is round, the long layers in front can make your face look slim.

Blending bangs: Ask your stylist for blended bangs that fall mid-eyebrow and light layers along the bottom of your hair. While those with coarse hair might have trouble with this look, it is perfect for those with curly hair with a fine texture.

Pixie: The pixie cut works on nearly any hair texture and is not as high maintenance as you think. Ask your hair stylist for a graduated pixie style and just be sure that you do not cut your hair too short.

Long, wavy layers: The layers and length of your naturally loose curls will help you pull off this look well. However, make sure that you keep the curls below your chin so that they do not get too bouncy.

Notching: Notching is thinning out of hair to remove the excess bulk. Here, the stylists reduce the volume, by snipping the interior of the hair. This will free the curls from dead weight that could prevent the hair from bouncing. Also, avoid layering your hair near your chin as it could make your face look rounder.
