Glowing Skin

A little attention to what is lying in your kitchen cabinets and fridge can save you trips to the salons and skincare specialists. Your kitchen has answers to most of your skin problems with beneficial ingredients for a face pack or a facial. Here are a few ingredients that are commonly present in most Indian kitchens and ways to use them.

Honey For Skin

Every Indian kitchen has a bottle of honey stacked somewhere. Honey has anti-bacterial and hydrating properties that help relieve the skin of blemishes. Mix honey with some chandan (turmeric), malai, besan and rose oil together. Apply this all over your face and neck and leave it to dry. Once dry, peel it off. Do this at least once a week for better results.  Also Read - Vitamin B3 Rich Foods For High Cholesterol: Top 7 Vitamin B Superfoods To Flush Out Bad LDL Cholesterol Naturally

Cinnammon

Cinnamon is a must-have in our spice cabinets, used to add that extra dash of flavour to a rather insipid dish. Cinnamon helps complete your skincare regime too. Try getting some cinnamon oil or simply mix some cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of olive oil or petroleum jelly. Apply this mixture to fine lines on the skin. The skin soon plumps up and fine lines become less visible. This can help plump your lips and can be used as a natural lip gloss too.  Also Read - Eldest Daughter Syndrome Is Real: This Is What A New Study Found

Once it has cooled down, splash this green tea onto your face and wash well.
