What causes a heart attack? “A heart attack (myocardial infarction) is seen when part of the heart muscle fails to get enough blood supply. Neglecting the symptoms can even lead to death,” says Dr Bipeenchandra Bhamre, Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai.
