Angina
Angina is a chest pain caused by reduced flow of blood to the heart. It is not a disease but a symptomatic outcome of some heart disease. The pain is not static, it often comes and goes away in a pattern. Depending on the underlying condition that causes the pain, it can either be treated using medicine or by making lifestyle changes but in serious cases, surgical intervention might be necessary like placing a stent that can open the arteries in case of blockage. Severe or unexpected angina signals a heart attack and requires immediate medical intervention. While angina has some types but the common symptoms are chest pain, chest pressure, indigestion and pain that travels to other parts of the body like the neck, jaw or shoulder. Many times, angina can be taken as a stomach or digestive ailment. It might be a good idea to know the types of it and what they mean.
