Yoga Asanas

Yoga can be a valuable addition to stroke recovery and prevention efforts. It can help improve flexibility, balance, strength, and overall well-being.

Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight in front of you. Inhale to lengthen your spine, then exhale to hinge at your hips and reach forward toward your toes. Hold the pose for a few breaths, feeling a gentle stretch in your lower back and neck.

Stand with your feet together or hip-width apart. Gently distribute your weight evenly across both feet. Lift your chest, relax your shoulders, and lengthen your spine. Breathe deeply and hold for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Mountain Pose helps improve posture, balance, and body awareness, which can be beneficial for stroke recovery and fall prevention.

Setu Bandha Sarvangasana
