Women’s menstrual cycle impacts their workout schedule and plans. Each stage has a different impact on their body. The workouts that they plan on doing might not be physically possible during some stage. This does not mean that they are weaker in any way, it is just that their hormones in the body affects their energy and in case they experience pain and discomfort during any phase it is even more difficult to stick to the pre-planned time table.

For women, there schedule does not just revolve around the 5 days when they bleed but it revolves around the entire month depending on each and every stage of the cycle.

Workouts For Menstruation Stage

When a woman is in their menstrual stage, she is bleeding non-stop. It is almost impossible for any woman to practice intense and heavy workouts during these 5 days. Moreover this is also not recommended. It is better if they stick to lighter and more relaxing workouts like stretches or yoga or Pilates during the last two days of the cycle. These can also help ease those period cramps.

Workouts For Follicular Phase

The follicular stage is when women have a lot of energy and during this stage they can push themselves and focus on strength training or boxing or any other intense workouts.

For the most part, you can continue to do the same high-intensity exercises you were doing during the follicular phase, or even switch up the style of cardio you do.

Workouts For Luteal Stage

The luteal stage says that you are closer to your period again. You might not feel very energetic like you do during the previous stage thus, you can stick to some light workouts like yoga.
