Should You Skip Your Workout?

There’s no denying that exercise is an essential part of maintaining a healthy, functional body, but sometimes you don’t feel like working out. But is it okay to skip the gym, especially if you are someone trying to lose weight? Well, just because someone you know is hitting the gym all seven days of the week doesn’t necessarily mean that you should do the same. Sometimes, you can miss going to the gym. If You Are Working 5 Days A Week

American Heart Association states that 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise is good for staying fit and healthy. 75 minutes of high-intensity exercise is also recommended as long as you are doing it at least five days a week. You Have Muscle Pain

Overtraining is the last thing that you should do for yourself. If you feel extreme soreness or muscle fatigue after a certain workout, it is okay to skip. The soreness is caused when the body repairs the muscular fibres in order for the growth to occur in the future. Therefore, your body requires time to overcome the soreness for you to perform better.

You’re Not Well

Are you feeling under the weather? Don’t hit the gym – it is as simple as that. If you have a fever, you should give exercise a miss. Given the current circumstances, you should rather stay at home to avoid any exposure to the infection. You Have Not Slept Well

We all know that sleep is an essential part of maintaining our everyday health. If you haven’t been getting enough sleep, it is best to prioritize your health.
