If you like to keep parenting as simple as possible, give me a Hi five! Given the environment of today, keeping our babies away from every toxic element is a distant dream, but we can definitely limit their exposure. This is the reason why I make all-natural playdough at home. It takes time to make but I believe in 'invested' parenting and am completely involved in an everything concerning my baby. But no matter what your parenting style, give this playdough a chance because you know it is safe for your baby.

Now you'll wonder why I bother making playdough at home when it is so easily available, even the non-toxic variety. Well, for me the thumb rule for anything with a shelf life is, longer the shelf life, higher the content of preservatives, which can never be healthy. So to answer the question, yes non-toxic playdough is available, but when I am making it myself, I know exactly what ingredients I have used. Most importantly, I know that the colour I have used is safe. The method I am sharing, especially, is the easiest and safest methods I have come across. The consistency and texture is amazing and it has a shelf life of about a week, without any preservatives -- that for me is a win win. Plus, it is so easy to make that I do not mind making a new batch every time my toddler wants to play with play-dough.

So watch the video for the recipe and let me know in the comments if it was a success for you. Also, don't forget to share it with your other mum friends.
