Toddler tantrums, most of the times, are hilarious!

Parenting is a helluva difficult job. If its not the sleepless nights, never ending pile of dirty diapers, laundry that seems to quadruple every time you blink, then it is your own children who make the task of keeping yourself together extremely difficult. From the endless spit-ups, diaper explosions, the number of times they fall and cry to the way they take them themselves to publicly humiliate you will make you question 'why did I have kids'. Just kidding. We love these tiny humans enough to take a bullet for them. But most of the times it is these tiny humans themselves who test our patience. Here, a few real mothers share stories of the weirdest reasons their children threw a tantrum for.
Switch off the sun: I have a 2-year-old who is extremely talkative. There's absolutely nothing that she does not have an opinion about. Since she was a baby, she has hated being out in the sun. Recently, on a particularly sunny day she asked me to, quote 'switch off the sun' because it was too bright and spoiling her eyes. On being informed that I cannot switch off the sun and we'll have to wait till evening for the sun to set, she retaliated by throwing a 20-minute tantrum.
Because you guessed it wrong: I am all for imaginative play, and love to participate with my toddler. This one time, he was summoning animals with magic and I had to guess which animal it was. The reason why my tot threw a tantrum was because not only did I guess the animal wrong, I also got its colour wrong. Now how on earth could I have guessed a purple sheep? (Dhwani Vyas)
Because my favourite colour is green: What is freedom of choice when you have a toddler? My daughter's favourite colour is purple, orange, blue or anything else depending on the day of the week, the atmospheric temperature and direction of the wind. One unfortunate day, I announced my favourite colour which is green, and she started crying. Guess what, her favourite colour that day was green too.
Life is interesting with toddlers around, and you may not feel so while the toddler is howling with rage, you do look back at these moments and have a hearty laugh! Have your own stories to share? Post it in the comments below.
