Parenting is hard, so I employ every idea that promises to make it easy. After three years of being a mother, I have some hacks that are close to my heart and I suggest it to all my mommy friends. I know mothers are always short of time, so without much ado, here are the hacks that I swear by!

Stick chalkboard or chart paper on walls: Lil Picasso expressing her art all over the walls? While I don't mind the scribbles on the wall, gives the house a feel that a child lives here, but I understand it's not approved by most parents. I have covered my walls with stick on chalkboard, or you can also use chart paper and let the child scribble on it.
Give magnetic letters to stick on the fridge: Children have a knack of wanting to stick to their mothers when we are the most busy, like when cooking in the kitchen. Instead if trying to turn her out, what I do is give her magnetic alphabets, and let her stick it on the fridge. She has started to recognise a few letters now!
Put the child in a large cardboard box and let them paint: If you don't want to stick anything on the walls, you can simply get a huge cardboard box that can fit your child in. Put the child in the middle and let her colour away to her heart's content.
Put each half of a sticker on shoes: I am trying to teach my toddler to be more self-reliant. An easy way of helping her put the right shoe on her foot is by cutting a sticker in halfand sticking it on each shoe for her recognise which show goes on which foot. Genius, right!
Put a sticker on diapers to recognise the front and back: Another thing that I am trying for her to learn is to put her diaper on, where she gets confused with the front and back. Sticker to my rescue again. I have put a sticker on the front of all her diapers.
Put a pillow on the baby's back: This I learnt from my mother from when my baby was a newborn. She would sleep in our arms, and the moment you put her down, she would wake up. So we used to put her down, keep patting and slowly put a light pillow on her, so that she felt that someone was still hugging her.
Sweep the trash inside the borders: I am fed-up of cleaning after my daughter all the time! So this little hack is a life saver. With coloured tape, I border one tile on the floor, give my daughter a broom and then ask her to get all the trash inside the tile. She loves this game and I get my work done!
Tell them to hold the juice boxes 'by the ears': Had enough of your child squeezing the juice box and spilling the juice all over? Not me! I pull out the little tabs next to the straw hole on the juice box and ask my child to hold the juice box 'by its ears'. You are welcome.
