Before you start reading this book review, do this. Log on to Facebook and like the Honest Toddler page. Then log onto Twitter and start following the Honest Toddler. This little brat, the brainchild of writer Bunmi Laditan, will have you in splits. Just like the book, The Honest Toddler. The book is written in a child's voice, a toddler's perspective on how he sees the world, his parents, grandparents and everything in between. From tantrums to those suspicious silence, this book helps you in understanding nothing. But you will still read it because it is that funny.

What the book is about

The book explains a toddler's behaviour, of course from a toddler's point of view about just about everything. Why toddler's love to run naked. Why they give baths to their favourite books. Why they refuse food and can totally survive on a healthy diet of red juice and crackers. From running around in circles (preferably without clothes) to the penchant for collecting rocks, mud and other gross things, this book is your guide to what a toddler thinks about and how they process the happenings in the world.

It is your guide to become a better parent. A toddler-friendly one. How you can handle, even avoid, loud responses (something that we call tantrums), or how you can learn to be a better parent by taking tips from the grandparents. The book will have you hooked as you keep nodding your head reading instances that you can definitely identify with. A toddler who refuses to potty train, or why doing laundry makes no sense to a toddler head. Why toddlers hate wearing leggings, or even clothes in general. And how toddlers can time travel, and even travel to parallel universes.

This book is a fun read for parents of all ages, and you will surely love it.
