Baby Product Review: Baby Dove Sensitive Moisture Bar

The Baby Dove Sensitive Moisture Bar gets a thumbs up from me!

First things first, when I was asking around for good toiletries for my baby, a lot of people suggested that I go for a head-to-toe wash, and I did try that on my newborn, and I was disappointed. Terribly. Because my baby never felt squeaky clean after a bath. I tried the Chicco head-to-toe wash, and it left my baby more greasy after the bath than before. And that is why I was never a fan of it. I decided to switch to soaps, so I went for the best one of the lot which came highly recommended - Sebamed. Again, it was a disaster. It is so mild and soft that it was reduced to a pulp within a few uses. And then there was the same problem, of not giving that squeaky clean finish. My baby's skin felt that it wasn't cleaning properly. I was fed up and finally settled for Chicco Moments Baby Soap, and I had a winner, and I have been using it for the past three years for my baby. Now, why did I suddenly switch to Baby Dove, you ask? Here's the reason.

Baby Dove was launched recently, and it is one brand that I really like, so I was keen on trying out there baby range. Second, my baby has dry skin during winters, and Chicco feels a little harsh during the cold weather, so I felt that Baby Dove would be a good choice. Here's my experience with Baby Dove Sensitive Moisture Bar.

First thing I loved about the soap was the imprinted logo. It is a dove with a baby dove. Cute! Then it has a lovely, sweet scent that reminds you of the pure baby smell. It is the trademark oval, milky white soap, which feels soft to touch.

On using, the soap lathers well, cleaning off most of the dirt and grime. Even the messiest babies will be squeaky clean after a bath, just the way I like it! It is a pH neutral formula, which means it does not harm the delicate baby skin. Plus, it is dermatologically tested and hypoallergic, which is definitely something you must look for in a baby soap. Tear-free and gentle, this soap is perfection. It washes off easily and leaves the baby's skin clean and moisturised. I am in love with Baby Dove Sensitive Moisture Bar, just like I love Baby Dove Rich Moisture Shampoo, and recommend it for all babies, newborns to toddlers.
