Your baby is always sleepy: Babies who are dehydrated also tend to be lethargic and less active. If your baby is always sleepy and waking her up gets extremely difficult, it is the time that you consult a paediatrician and check for dehydration.

Your baby cries without tears: A dehydrated newborn can cry without producing any tears. Since the body lacks sufficient fluids, no tears will be produced. In fact, dehydration can make your baby even more cranky and irritable. You must know these 25 things about newborns.

Your baby has dry, cool skin: Even the skin can feel dry and cool if your newborn is dehydrated. The lips can also get dry and cracked and a splotchy colouring in the hands and feet of the newborn can be a sign of severe dehydration. This one trick will help you find out that your baby is dehydrated. Pinch the newborn s skin lightly between your thumb and index finger. If the skin remains up in the pinched position, once you have released your baby is surely dehydrated. Follow these 8 vital tips to take care of your newborn.
