Malaria has been a problem in India for centuries. According to 2014 WHO report there were 1.6 million confirmed cases of malaria in India and 400-1000 deaths annually. The matter of concern is that from 2013 to 2014 the number of deaths due to malaria has increased from 400 to 600.
