If you love eating at KFC, you will think twice about going to that restaurant from now on. A 22-yera-old girl was shocked to find out that she was not eating chicken but something disgusting. While eating a Zinger Tower Burger, she noticed some weird, purple coloured flesh inside the burger. On ripping the burger open, she found that her burger was made with uncooked giblets. At first, she thought it was a piece of the brain or the lungs, but it was not chicken.
She brought this to the notice of the restaurant staff only to be offered a replacement of the burger. The restaurant later apologised for the not removing the giblets from the carcass and serving it to a customer. They also explained that such mistakes although rare, happen because the chicken is prepared by hand.
KFC was recently in the news because an Indian couple claimed to have found worms in their zinger burger. Halfway through their meal the couple realised that their burger was infested with worms and their complaint was not taken seriously by the staff. It was also reported that the couple was not allowed to click pictures of their burger and received a casual reply from the outlet manager that the worms must have come from the vegetables.
In 2012, at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, a family had also found worms in their chicken. After inspection by the food safety authorities, it was found that this particular KFC restaurant in Kerala did not have proper sanitation.
KFC has always been in the news for all the wrong reasons. While most of us don't think twice before eating at KFC, all these incidents tell us to be wary while choosing KFC.
