If you haven't seen the video yet and think she is giving some sugar-coated advice on beauty and glam, let me tell you she is not. In fact, I ignored the video at first because I thought that it's again one of those PR strategies which actresses do often to trend on social media. But then something got me click it. It was the title 'UNBLUSHED.' This word itself was so alluring that I finally clicked the video. Why would you name used words like unblushed and being beautiful in the same breath. Well, the message was clear. You blush for yourself with the abundance of beauty within you not for the world. It is okay to unblush and still remain beautiful.
Radhika Apte wishes she could say certain things to her five-year-old self and it's not about studying hard or consoling while losing the first place in the fancy dress competition. It's about being you. Simple words that probably every woman needs to say to her. Probably we say it every time. Just that when it comes from another women we know we all sail the same boat. In a day and age where appearance takes precedence over inner beauty, body shaming is rampant and society has its own rules for women, small talks with self makes complete self. That is all what this video is about. Click the video below to watch it.
