Why has Anna Hazare been hospitalised?

Social activist and crusader Anna Hazare was admitted to a private hospital in Gurgaon on Friday. Team Anna member Kiran Bedi, claimed that the 75-year old was rushed to the Medanta Medicity Hospital after he fell ill.

Bedi tweeted, 'As soon as Anna complained of ill health no time was lost to take him to Medanta which had taken good care of him earlier!' And followed it up with another one: 'Anna is admitted in Medanta and under intensive care of a team of doctors. What are the health issues only Doctors can say as professionals!' (sic)

Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal also wished his former mentor a speedy recovery 'Anna in hospital. I wish I cud go to see him. I wish him fast recovery.' This is a little out of the blue considering the veteran crusader has always been in the pink of health and been remarkably resistant to harsh conditions such as fasting.
