A video of Vinod Kambli, the former Indian cricketer has been circulating social media along with the debate about his health status. In his latest public appearance at a memorial unveiling ceremony of Ramakant Achrekar, Kambli's frail appearance has sparked concerns among his fans and his former team-mates. As per reports, Kambli has been dealing with multiple health problems for a long time, depression, alcoholism, heart problems and blocked arteries are few among them. Kambli, in the video looked visibly frail as he clung to his childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar, refusing to let go of his hand. As per old news reports, Kambli's health had improved a lot after 2010 however this time, it seemed a bit more serious.

Marcus Couto, a former first-class umpire who is very close to Kambli spoke to the media about his health saying that he has severe and multiple health issues. Alcoholism is one of the biggest health problem that he has been suffering from. He has also been to rehabilitation centre 14 times. He said in his statement that Kambli was taken to a rehab three times in Vasai. Couto also expressed his concern by saying that he does not think rehab is the solution to his health.

Kambli's health also has the 1986 World Cup team concerned so much so that they have extended their help and support. They are willing to offer assistance and also help hi9m financially but Kambli has to take the first step. The first step in this case is to check himself inti rehab. If he does that, his former team mates are more than willing to offer all the help that he needs irrespective of how long the treatment lasts.
