After Sonam Kapoor, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and family (wife Anupama and son Agni) have been diagnosed with swine flu too. India has been seeing a surge of swine flu cases lately with the count now with the death toll close to 1000.

Anupama Chopra, Vidhu's wife tweeted, 'Folks, I have been felled by swine flu. So no reviews this week. Do send me yours - tell me what I missed!' The entire family fell sick 2-3 days ago and were admitted to Jaslok Hospital. However, news is that Anupama is now at home while Vidhu and his son Agni are to be discharged this sunday. This disease is particularly scary since it resembles the common flu in its symptoms and at times, by the time people realize it is swine flu, it is too late to do much. Symptoms include headache, chills, fever, bodyache, cough, sore throat etc. Read more about the signs and symptoms of swine flu. To prevent the disease, follow some basic hygiene practices. When you sneeze, cover your face. Do not use cloth handkerchiefs, use paper tissues instead. Throw them away after each use. Don't touch your face often. Wash your hands often with soap and water. Also, keep a hand sanitizer with you. Avoid touching other's belongings like phones, laptops, etc. If anyone has flu, avoid close contact. Avoid hand shakes. It is best if people avoid crowded places, especially young children, the elderly, pregnant women and people who are already sick. Read more about precautions to avoid swine flu.
