Uttam Mohanty Health Updates: Veteran Odia actor Uttam Mohanty has been airlifted to Delhi for advanced medical treatment as he battles a severe case of liver cirrhosis. As per reports, the 65-year-old actor is suffering from critical liver cirrhosis. Speaking to the media, family members of the actor have stated that he was airlifted to a private hospital in Delhi on Saturday evening after his condition turned critical.

The 65-year-old was earlier admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Bhubaneshwar for three days and was also placed on ventilator support. "Uttam Mohanty is undergoing treatment for cirrhosis of the liver. He is in ICU, and his condition is being monitored. He is on organ support," sources told the media.

Liver cirrhosis is a chronic and progressive liver disease that occurs when healthy liver cells are damaged and replaced by scar tissue, leading to impaired liver function. Over time, this scarring disrupts the liver's ability to perform essential tasks such as detoxifying the blood, producing proteins, and aiding digestion.
