The Uttar Pradesh government was asked by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Friday to submit a report on the death of six patients at a medical college in Gorakhpur after their oxygen supply was stopped on Sep 4 allegedly by unruly junior doctors. NHRC has sent notices to the state's medical education secretary and Gorakhpur district magistrate after taking cognizance of media reports on the incident at Baba Raghav Das Medical College.
