Use of make-up three times more during festive season

On an average, women use just four makeup items on a normal day and eight products for normal nights out. But during the Christmas season they wear around three times as much make-up, applying 12 products on to their faces before going on a night out, according to a poll.

They also spend an average three times longer time in front of the mirror than normal to put on makeup. That's up from 20 minutes on a typical day to an entire hour during festive season.
