Union minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari fainted on stage while addressing an election rally in Maharashtra's Yavatmal on Wednesday. Gadkari was immediately rushed for treatment. Several party workers were seen splashing water on Nitin Gadkari's face and escorting him away from the stage.
However, the minister later took to Twitter to update his well-wishers about this condition. He wrote that suddenly he started feeling uncomfortable due to the heat, adding that he was fine and on his way to attend the next election rally in Varud. "I felt uncomfortable due to the heat during the rally in Pusad, Maharashtra. But now I am completely healthy and am leaving for Varud to attend the next meeting. Thank you for your love and good wishes," Nitin Gadkari tweeted.

Mr Gadkari - who fought the first phase of the Lok Sabha election as the candidate from Nagpur, a seat he won in 2014 and 2019 - was campaigning for Rajashree Patil, who is from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's faction of the Shiv Sena and is the ruling Mahayuti alliance's pick for Yavatmal-Washim.
