Here is how the tragic Delhi rape case of Decemver 2013, inspires women's app for safety.

How women on-the-go can guard themselves

Awareness

The most important of it all, lack of awareness makes one prone to such dangers. This also means that in case you are heading to a place you are unsure of or is isolated then keep some important numbers saved or on your speed dial. Save the women's helpline service, your area police station numbers. Importantly don't go alone!

Show no fear

Confidence, and some self-defense could come in handy. Besides, be ready to raise your voice and react without any fear. It's important that you try and not give into the shock during that moment, and retaliate immediately.

Keep your folks and friends in the loop

Once you hop into cab or any public transport services especially during the second half of the day, make it a point to send details of the cab number and driver to your parents and even friends if need be. It's best to keep updating them every few minutes about your journey and the root you are taking. Send in your location map, in case you are stuck in traffic somewhere or if it's taking too long to get to your destination.
