Tennessee State Rep Jeff Burkhart, 63, Passes Away In Clarksville: What We Know About His Cause of Death
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office told the media that authorities were reportedly called to Jeff's property in Clarksville which is located about an hour from Nashville on Friday at 7 am.
Jeff Burkhart, a former Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives died at age 63 on Thursday in Clarksville. A leading media outlet confirmed the announcement of Jeff's death.
Jeff Burkhart's Cause Of Death
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office told the media that authorities were reportedly called to Jeff's property in Clarksville which is located about an hour from Nashville on Friday at 7 am. Reportedly, the 63-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time, his cause of death has not yet been revealed.

The Republican House Caucus said in a release, "Rep. Marsha Blackburn, Tennessee Senator expresses the loss of Burkhart, remembering him, Blackburn said, "He loved representing Montgomery County and was fully dedicated to improving the lives of those he represented," in a statement. She added, "My condolences to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed."
Calling Jeff a "beloved member of our legislative family." John Ray Clemmons, Democratic Caucus Chairman said, "Rep. Burkhart was an exemplary public servant and champion for the families of Montgomery County. He touched many lives with his service and will be dearly missed by all in our State Capitol."
Who Is Jeff Burkhart?
Jeff Burkhart is a Montgomery County native. The 63-year-old began his career as a firefighter before stepping into the construction industry. Later, he gradually launched a real estate development business. Jeff entered politics in 2008 and went on to win reelection in 2012 and 2016 to the city election. According to local reports, Jeff is survived by his wife, Cindy Greene, and daughter Meredith Grace Burkhart.
