Telangana on high alert for swine flu

New Delhi, January 25: Telangana health authorities are on high alert after several fresh new cases are being reported. So far, no deaths have occured in the region, several people are still falling victim to the virus. These health authorities have also intensified awareness campaigns among people about swine flu and how to prevent it. Swine flu can be prevented by maintaining good hygiene, avoiding crowded places, wearing face masks, using a handkerchief while sneezing, etc.

According to reports, a team of health experts on Friday had completed its assessment of the swine flu situation in Telangana and called for improving hygiene and pro-active testing of samples. The three-member team said that it will submit its report to the Centre, adding that there is no need for panic, and stating that the number of swine flu cases will come down with the rise in temperatures.
