In this day and age where body shaming is pretty common and no one is spared from it, South Indian actress, Kasthuri has posed semi-nude with her baby. The photos clicked by renowned photographer Jade Beall for his book , 'A Beautiful Body Project: The Bodies of Mothers'are doing rounds on social media Beall's project is dedicated to mothers after pregnancy and over 80 mothers from around the world have volunteered for his project. The project is a series of book volumes and is also an online media platform dedicated to women and body image issues. The project celebrates mothers through sharing of stories about motherhood, ageing, cancer, stillbirths, miscarriages, weight gain, weight loss, dysmorphia and beyond. Kasthuri acted in number Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films Aniyan , Kannada movie Jaana and most recently in Vadacurry . Many women find it difficult to cope their changing body post pregnancy. Issues like weight gain, fatigue, lack of sleep often take a backseat and are rarely addressed. Women hardly find time for themselves which makes them even more vulnerable and more than often women face post-partum depression. All these issues are highly overlooked. They need to be addressed and women need to feel comfortable in their own skin. Creating awareness about these issues and making women speak up and get help at the right time is the need of the hour.
