Swine flu in Rajasthan: 423 people succumb to the H1N1 virus

Swine flu, which has become a menace across the country claimed four more lives in Rajasthan. The total death toll due to the H1N1 virus has risen to 423, and 6,606 have tested positive according to an official of the State Medical Health Directorate.

Of the 6,606 people found positive for the H1N1 virus in the state, 423 people have died till yesterday, an official of the State Medical Health Directorate said. Read about the 15 precautions every Indian should take to prevent swine flu.

Swine flu deaths occurred in all districts of Rajasthan except Dholpur and Sirohi even though H1N1 positive cases were reported from these two districts, he added.

Jaipur recorded the maximum deaths of 85 followed by Ajmer 45, Jodhpur 33, Nagaur 31, Barmer 23, Kota 20, Udaipur 15, Chittorgarh 14, Bhilwara and Tonk 13 each, Sikar and Pali 12 each, Jhunjhunu 11, Churu 9, Bikaner 8, Bharatpur, Dausa, Rajsamand and Banswara 6 each, and Alwar 5.
