Swine flu in Raj: Death toll crosses 250 as 11 more succumb

With the total number of swine flu deaths crossing 900 across the country this year, Rajasthan was the state that was worst affected. The total deaths reported from Rajasthan alone are 251 after 8 more patients succumbed to the deadly virus within the last 48 hours. Out of 5,262 patients who were tested positive for the HINI virus, 251 have died since January 1 this year, an official of state Medical and Health Directorate said today. Jaipur has recorded the maximum deaths with the toll rising to 51 followed by Ajmer 29, Jodhpur 28, Niger 23, Barmer 19, Kota 11, Pali 10, Chittorgarh and Sikar 8 each, Banswara and Bhilwara six each, and one to four at many places in the state.
