Swine flu in India: 59-year-old woman first victim of swine flu in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Feb 8: A 59-year-old woman has became the first victim of swine flu in Himachal Pradesh after she was tested positive for H1N1 virus, a medical official said here today. The samples of Satya Devi, a resident of Kangra district, for swine flu test was received at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) hospital here about two days. Sample of Satya Devi, sent from Kangra to IGMC, for test was found positive for swine flu, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Romesh said. Swine flu has claimed several lives in various states. (Read: Swine flu in India: Virus continues to create havoc across Telangana)
