Supervisor reports a woman to the HR for using a hot water bag on her period (Watch video)

Menstruation continues to be a taboo topic. A woman from the UK was period-shamed at work. She had a hot water bag nestled in her lap to combat menstrual craps she was going through, but this normal thing didn't go well with her supervisor and he reported it to the HR. Even when she explained to him that she had that hot water bottle in her lap to soothe her menstrual cramps, it didn't stop him. The woman posted the incident on Mumsnet (A British parenting site), anonymously. This caused a huge uproar on Twitter by people. Take a look:

Women have a tougher time at work compared to men. Right from sexism to menstrual issues women have it all, and all this apart from the normal workload. Menstrual leave was recently a big topic of discussion in our country when a company in India, Culture Machine, offering paid leaves to its female employees on the first day of their periods. Some were against it and some really showed support towards it. Menstruating at the workplace does get difficult.
