Most couples are advised to wait for three to six months after a miscarriage to conceive a baby again. While this suggestion is given by the doctors and healthcare advisers to help a woman s body heal and gain enough strength to go through the strains of baby-making, however, recent studies say that this might not be a necessity. According to a study done by the National Institute of Health (NIH) early conception after a miscarriage is possible and the chances that you would be blessed with a healthy bony baby is high too. The study also takes into account the emotional aspect of miscarriage stating that women can take on the responsibility without the fear of having to deal with the emotional baggage or getting over the shock of the trauma. Here are five reasons of miscarriage after first trimester.

Why early conception after miscarriage

The study took into account 1000 couples out of which 765 of them conceived within three months and birthed healthy babies without any health concerns of congenital defects. While we found no physiological reason for delaying attempts at conception following a pregnancy loss, couples may need time to heal emotionally before they try again, Karen Schliep, Ph.D., a postdoctoral fellow in the NICHD Epidemiology Branch at the time the study was conducted, said. Here are five ways to improve your chances of getting pregnant.

She also explained that their study countered the conventional recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO) to wait for six months after pregnancy loss. With their findings, this idea may be unwarranted. Their findings also showed that about 76 percent of women tried to conceive within three months of miscarriage and were more likely to get pregnant than those who waited longer than three months.

While WHO s recommendation to wait for a six months before conceiving (after a miscarriage) is more to help a woman come out of the emotional setback and the womb to heal completely before starting off with a new pregnancy, this research comes as a ray of hope for couples who are eager to have a baby. However, one should delay the pregnancy if they are really not emotionally and physically fit to bear the baby.
