Suchitra Sen's health condition deteriorates

The condition of iconic Bengali actress Suchitra Sen, undergoing treatment in a private nursing home here following a chest infection, deteriorated late Sunday night, and she was transferred to the critical care unit (CCU). 'Her heartbeat has become high. The two lungs are congested. We are trying to reduce the heartbeat,' the nursing home sources said here.

Sen, 83, was admitted to the nursing home Tuesday after she complained of breathlessness. However, the sources said, till now there was no cause of anxiety.
