Total marathon runners who needed medical attention were approx 4000 across the marathon route. 18 hospitalisations pertaining to the marathon were overseen by the medical camp- out of which most were dehydration cases; one was admitted for low sugar (hypoglycemia) and one for high BP. One person a crew member was admitted for convulsion. All these marathoners were stabilized and 17 of them were subsequently discharged. One runner named Amitava Sen (bib no: 8645) who was admitted to the casualty of GT Hospital with complaints of dehydration low blood pressure and low blood sugar is currently stable and under observation.
