Your favourite Snickers, Milky way, Celebrations and other products manufactured by Mars Inc. have been recalled from the market after a piece of plastic was found in one of its products. The company has withdrawn products from over 55 countries. According to the press release on their website, a small piece of plastic was found in one Snickers bar purchased in Germany and they have decided to voluntarily recall a selection of Snickers, Mars, Milky Way and Celebrations products manufactured in their Netherlands factory.
They recall products manufactured during a period of December 5, 2015, to January 18, 2016. The press release clarifies that only a few Mars products are affected by this recall. While Mars Netherlands supplies products to various countries and a few duty-free outlets, people need to be a little wary of buying these products.
How to check if your Mars product is safe and recalled?
A simple way to be sure about the quality of the product is to the verify the label of the product. If the label says, manufactured by Mars Netherlands in the above mentioned time frame, do not buy the product. If the product is not manufactured by Mars Netherlands, be rest assured that the product does not belong to the batches that have been recalled.
According to a few reports only Mars products available in Vietnam and Sri Lanka among Asian countries have been recalled. There is no news about Mars products being recalled from India. However, if you wish to buy these products just check the label to see when and where they were manufactured. Also, if you have asked your relatives from abroad to get your Mars products, don't forget to tell them about this recall.
