A spokesperson for Biden confirmed it to ABC News on Tuesday. "In a routine physical exam a small nodule was found in the prostate, which necessitated further evaluation," the spokesperson was mentioned as saying to the publication. No further details about the 82-year-old's health were shared. Biden vacated his seat at the Oval office after serving one term as the president of the United States. He was succeeded by Donald Trump, who took oath earlier this year. In the past, Biden has experienced many health issues, but nothing prevented him from discharging his duties as the president of one of the most powerful nations in the world.

While it is not clear as to what the small nodule in Biden's prostate gland may mean, it highlights the importance of regular health check-ups for men, especially those to do with the male reproductive organs.

Samadi explains that a prostate nodule may usually feel like a 'firm bump' under the surface of the prostate gland, which is located beneath the bladder and in front of the rectum. The nodule site may feel similar to a 'hand knuckle', and they are considered to be abnormal growths, often used interchangeably with the term 'tumors'.
