The same stands true for the Singapore Airlines flight SQ321, a Boeing 777, On May 21, 2024, that encountered intense turbulence while on its from London to Singapore. The unexpected turbulence bolted passengers and crew around the cabin, resulting in injuries and damage.

Soon a medical emergency was declared by a pilot and the flight was diverted to Bangkok eventually making an emergency landing at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand. The incident caused one fatality where a 73-year-old British man died.
