Actress Shilpa Shetty, who is expecting her first child with husband Raj Kundra in May, has started taking Lamaze classes and finds the exercise insightful and fun. Lamaze is a technique that increases a mother's confidence in her ability to give birth and help them understand how to cope with pain in ways that both facilitate labour and promote comfort. "Started Lamaze classes with Dr Rita Shah. A must do, very insightful. Fun to work out with pregnant women all around. Quite a cute sight," the 36-year-old posted on micro-blogging site Twitter. The Lamaze technique, often referred to as Lamaze, is a prepared childbirth technique developed in the 1940s by French obstetrician Dr. Fernand Lamaze as an alternative to the use of medical intervention during childbirth.
The actress, who married London-based Kundra in 2009, announced her pregnancy in December last year and says she is enjoying all the love and attention she is getting these days. "The best part of pregnancy is that everyone is so nice to you. So much love and pampering all around. Bad part everyone feeds you so much, phew," she further tweeted.
