Latest Update: It was reported in the afternoon that former deputy Chief Minister R. R . Patil was critical and on a life support at Lilavati hospital. But according to reports from the Times Of India he has passed away.
After being hospitalised for almost a month, it has now been reported that R R Patil has again been put on ventilator support after his condition became critical. He has been recuperating after a surgery for cancer and undergoing chemotherapy at Lilavati hospital for the past month.
The Indian Express has reported NCP's national spokesperson Nawab Malik saying, 'He is critical but doctors are trying to keep him stable. He is on life support system as of now.'(Read: RR Patil now stable, underwent chemotherapy to treat cancer) The hospital has denied any comments on his condition but the Indian Express has reported that the former deputy Chief Minister might have suffered from multiple organ failure. Patil's health has been on a downhill following a heart attack in December last year for which he underwent angiography at Bombay Hospital in Mumbai.
