'Dabangg' star Sonakshi Sinha, who is known to sport long tresses best suited for Indian traditional looks, is all set to turn heads with her short haircut. She has now opted for a shoulder-length haircut for the first time. The 27-year-old actress took to Twitter to share a picture of her new hairstyle. 'Hair today, gone tomorrow! Short hair!!! After yeeeaaarrrsss! #excitedmeinedda,' she wrote on her Twitter page.

Hair dos for short hair

Soft-curled bob

Curls are an easy way to style your hair and look. As per your preference you can choose tight or soft curls or even waves. You can make this look different every time you do the basic curling or when setting your hair into waves.

Steps:

  1. First comb your hair into a centre parting. The centre parting helps the hair appear fuller on the face.
  2. Roll up the tip of your back ward till you reach just below the scalp.
  3. As per your preference of tight curls or soft waves, you can either leave the curls as they are after using the tong, or brush them to loosen up the curls. The more you use the comb, the softer the curls will turn.
  4. To accessorize, use a headband or pin on both sides with embellished hair clips for a dressy look.

Deep side-part

If you're not game for a very fancy hairdo, this open hair and side-pinned look won't take up too much time and will conveniently set you up for the evening. It is great to spare yourself from some boredom even for a regular day at work.

Steps:

  1. For a sleek and simple look it's always an easy option to go all straight with your hair. If you want to shake things up a bit, scrunching the tip of your hair into messy waves or curls is not a bad idea.
  2. Once you decide the style of your look, begin to part your hair from either side. Go deeper with the parting, almost reaching one end of your head.
  3. Pull the hair from the front and loosely pin it behind your ear. Ensure that you get a pulled back-sweep look.
  • Twisted hair: It's great to keep up with the twisting and braiding hairstyles trending this season. Short hair should however not be a hindrance to sport this trend. Here is how you can have your hair all twisted within a few minutes.
