Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra's weight loss challenge

A healthy couple is a happy couple and newly-wed Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra are taking this rather seriously. Rumour has it that the duo have decided to challenge each other to lose weight and are doing their best to stay in shape. They will complete a year of marital bliss soon but are not ready to settle for anything less than fit. Adi may not be spotted by the paparazzi too often but he wants to knock off the extra kilos and get fitter.

Rani who worked out hard to look like a tough cop in Mardaani, is trying her best to shed some more kilos to be in a leaner avatar. For this film too she had lost about 5-6 kg. Her fitness trainer Samir Jaura helped her tone up for the role. Here's what she did for her workout:

  • Stretching 30 minutes
  • Cross training 30 minutes
  • Circuit training/weight training/hi-rep workout 45 minutes
  • Cool down 30 minutes

As weight loss is not possible without a healthy diet, Rani ate small, frequent meals every few hours which included fresh fruits, salads, brown rice, curd, grilled fish, etc. Read more...
