Jaipur, Jan 13 (PTI) Two more persons died of swine flu in Udaipur and Jaipur taking the total number of deaths due to H1N1 virus this year to seven, a state health official said today. A 40-year-old woman died here yesterday who was admitted to Sawai Man Singh Hospital last weekend, the official said. Another woman from Banswara died at a government hospital in Udaipur on Sunday, he said. (Read: Here are some ways you can prevent the disease)
Of the seven deaths, three persons died in Jaipur, one each in Kota, Tonk, Barmer and Banswara city, he said, adding, that this included five females and two males. Out of 102 samples taken for test, 19 H1N1 positive cases were under treatment in various hospitals in the state, he said. (Read: Here are 10 facts you should know about the disease)
Private hospitals have been advised to submit reports of swine flu patients right on the day of admitting such cases, the official said. The reports were delayed due to official holidays on weekends in the government offices, he added. Extreme cold weather conditions and fluctuating temperature are the possible causes of swine flu disease in various parts of the state, the official said.
