Raila Odinga Death News: Raila Odinga, the former Prime Minister of Kenya, breathed his last on Wednesday (October 15, 2025), at an Ayurvedic eye hsopital-cum-research-centre in Kerala's Ernakulum district. He was 80.

According to the initial medical reports, Odinga suffered a fatal heart attack (cardiac failure) during his morning walk on the campus.

Releasing a statement, the hospital revealed that the death occurred around 9 am. He was undergoing treatment for the last 5 days and was accompanied by his daughter and personal doctor.

"Odinga, 80, a towering figure in Kenyan politics, who was the PM during 2008-13 and a five-time presidential contender, collapsed around 8.30 am while on a morning walk within the premises of Sreedhareeyam Ayurvedic Eye Hospital and Research Centre, where he had been admitted for treatment and rest after suffering a mild stroke in Kenya," sources told the media.
