While the cancer institute will be set up at Bhadsa village, the nuclear energy centre will be set up at Jassaur Khedi village. Congress MP from Rohtak Deepinder Singh Hooda said Thursday that the 710-bedded cancer hospital at Bhadsa will cost about Rs.2,035 crore in the first phase and will be ready in a period of 45 months.

‘This hospital will work under AIIMS, New Delhi, and later the Cancer Hospital of AIIMS will be shifted here,’ Hooda said in a statement. (Read: PM lays foundation stone of Punjab cancer hospital)

Hooda said the centre for nuclear energy partnership will be the first global university dedicated to nuclear science.

‘This will be a nuclear research centre of international importance. Five countries – the United States, Britain, Russia, France and India – will be participating in it. It will be constructed in an area of about 225 acres and will cost about Rs. 800 crore. Under this centre, five colleges related with nuclear science research will be established,’ he said.

The prime minister will also be laying foundation stone of the four-lane Bahadurgarh-Gurgaon road. He will also lay foundation stone of the Government Girls College in Jassaur Khedi.

Hooda said that the prime minister will be laying the foundation stone of the 2,800-MW Nuclear Power Plant at Gorakhpur in Haryana’s Fatehabad district later in January. The plant will cost Rs.22,000 crore.
