Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday inquired about President Pranab Mukherjee's health after he underwent an angioplasty on Saturday at the Army s Research and Referral hospital.
The 79-year-old was rushed to the hospital after he complained about stomach discomfort and digestive problems. The doctors kept him under observation following which various tests were carried out on him. The doctors found blockage in one of his arteries leading to the heart and immediately performed an angioplasty, a surgical procedure where a stent was introduced in the artery to widen it and allow easy flow of blood to the heart. Rashtrapati Bhawan also tweeted about PM's visit at the hospital, saying that Modiji wished Mukherjee speedy recovery
