The 2-minute Maggi Masala noodles are in the news for the past few days. And everyone on earth is still figuring out what to do with their stash of Maggi noodles. But if you feel that you can live on other varieties like Maggi oats, Maggi atta noodles, curry noodles or masala noodles, better beware. Here s what you need to know.
High in sodium
One bowl of Maggi (90 mg) provides you around 1090 mg of sodium, which makes up for 50% of your required daily dose of sodium. This means you have to cook the rest of your food - lunch and dinner and snack- with just half a spoon of salt. High in fats and carbohydrates
The basic ingredient of Maggi is Maida (refined flour) which is a complex carbohydrate. Also, every variety of Maggi is high in saturated fats. Maggi Atta noodles contain 84.2% atta and Maggi Oats noodles have 78.4% of multigrain flour of which only 52% is oat flour. Every variety of Maggi that you eat contains similar ingredients.
Low in nutrients, fiber and proteins
If you feel the desiccated vegetables in the noodles makes it healthier, you are wrong.
