A new research suggests that the gel materials used in PIP breast implants aren’t toxic or carcinogenic and pose no long term ill-effects. However, they do remain twice as likely as other forms of implants to rupture. This analysis conducted by the NHS Medical Directors group will provide some relief to about 47,000 women who are believed to have undergone this procedure.
