Pahalgam Terrorist Attack LIVE Updates: In a rare terror attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, 26 people died - several others were left injured. Terrorists attacked a group of tourists visiting Baisaran valley in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. According to initial reports, unidentified gunmen opened fire on the tourists who had gone for a trekking trip.

Among the victims was a newlywed couple who had travelled to the valley for their honeymoon. The chilling attack has left the nation stunned and mourning. "My husband was shot in the head... he was shot for not being a Muslim," a woman survivor cried for help over phone to the media. The woman, who did not want to be named, pleaded for help in evacuating the injured and sent them to the hospital. "Bhaiyya please mere husband ko bacha lo (Brother, please save my husband)," the woman pleaded frantically.
