Operation Sindoor Live Updates: India on Wednesday carried out the precision strikes on "terrorist infrastructure" at nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 innocent tourists in the heart of Jammu and Kashmir, two weeks ago.
The attacks, which were carried out at 1:44am, were in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir's Anantnag district that claimed 26 lives -- 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen -- on April 22.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Defence confirmed hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir "from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed."
As tensions escalate along the India-Pakistan border in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, Indian medical services are stepping up readiness for any potential retaliatory strikes or military escalation. According to the latest reports, the Indian Army has made proper arrangements across the border areas with the deployment of rapid response teams, emergency stockpiles of medical supplies, and mobile field units. The team is fully prepared to handle any medical emergency that may arise after such an attack.
